Act of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of MaryO Blessed Virgin, Mother of God, look down in mercy from Heaven, where thou art enthroned as Queen, upon me, a miserable sinner, thine unworthy servant. Although I know full well my own unworthiness, yet in order to atone for the offenses that are done to thee by impious and blasphemous tongues, from the depths of my heart I praise and extol thee as the purest, the fairest, the holiest creature of all God’s handiwork. I bless thy Holy name, I praise thine exalted privilege of being truly Mother of God, ever Virgin, conceived without stain of sin, Co-Redemptrix of the human race. I bless the Eternal Father who chose thee in an especial way for His daughter; I bless the Word Incarnate who took upon Himself our nature in thy bosom and so made thee His Mother; I bless the Holy Spirit who took thee as His bride. All honor, praise and thanksgiving to the ever-blessed Trinity who predestined thee and loved thee so exceedingly from all eternity as to exalt thee above all creatures to the most sublime heights. O Virgin, holy and merciful, obtain for all who offend thee the grace of repentance, and graciously accept this poor act of homage from me thy servant, obtaining likewise for me from thy Divine Son the pardon and remission of all my sins. Amen.

Most glorious Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, turn thine eyes in pity upon us, miserable sinners; we are sore afflicted by the many evils that surround us in this life, but especially do we feel our hearts break within us upon hearing the dreadful insults and blasphemies uttered against thee, O Virgin Immaculate. O how these impious sayings offend the infinite Majesty of God and of His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ! How they provoke His indignation and give us cause to fear the terrible effects of His vengeance! Would that the sacrifice of our lives might avail to put an end to such outrages and blasphemies; were it so, how gladly we should make it, for we desire, O most Holy Mother, to love thee and to honor thee with all our hearts, since this is the Will of God. And just because we love thee, we will do all that is in our power to make thee honored and loved by all men. In the meantime do thou, our merciful Mother, the supreme comforter of the afflicted, accept this our act of reparation which we offer thee for ourselves and for all our families, as well as for all who impiously blaspheme thee, not knowing what they say. Do thou obtain for them from Almighty God the grace of conversion, and thus render more manifest and more glorious thy kindness, thy power and thy great mercy. May they join with us in proclaiming thee Blessed among women, the Immaculate Virgin and most compassionate Mother of God.

Christ Falls for the Third TimeGlory, honor, and praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ; may all the world adore Thee; blessed be Thy Holy Name, Who for us sinners didst vouchsafe to be born of a humble Virgin; and blessed be Thine infinite goodness, Who didst die upon the Cross for our redemption. O Jesus, Son of God and Savior of mankind, we beseech Thee to have mercy on us, and so dispose our lives here by Thy grace, that we may hereafter rejoice with Thee forever in Thy Heavenly Kingdom. Amen.

O Dear Jesus, our blessed Savior and Redeemer, the sweet comforter of all the sad, desolate, and distressed souls: behold Thy poor servants humbly prostrate at the foot of Thy holy Cross, bewailing our miseries, imploring Thy mercy, and beseeching Thee to take pity and compassion upon us in this our present and pressing afflictions, in our infirmities, poverties, temptations, troubles, and all other spiritual or corporeal necessities.

Hear our prayer, O assured refuge of all afflicted, wretched! Behold our tears, consider our sorrows, and remedy our distresses; for finding ourselves encompassed with very grievous calamities, by reason of our great crimes, we knowest not whither to fly for succor, or to whom we may make our moan, but unto Thee, our meek and merciful Savior, with a full hope and confidence that Thou, O living Redeemer, wilt vouchsafe to lend the ears of Thy ordinary pity and accustomed clemency to the humble petition of Thy poor children, and by that sweetness which Thy blessed soul perceived at the time of Thy alliance with our human nature, when resolving with the Father and the Holy Ghost to unite Thy Divine Person to mortal flesh for man’s salvation. Thou didst send Thy Angel to the holy Virgin Mary with those happy tidings, and clothing Thyself with our human nature, didst remain true man for the space of nine months in her sacred womb.

By the anguish Thou didst endure when, the time of Thy designed Passion drawing nigh, Thou didst pray to Thy Eternal Father, that if it might stand with His most Divine Providence, Thou didst desire that the bitter chalice might pass away from Thee; yet concluding with a most perfect act of resignation: Not My will, O heavenly Father, but Thine, be done.

By the outrageous injuries, shameful disgraces, cruel blows, contumelious blasphemies, forged witnesses, false accusations, and unjust judgments which Thou, innocent Lamb! Patiently didst endure; by the shackles which fettered Thy limbs, the tears which flowed from Thine eyes, the Blood which trickled from Thy whole Body; by the fears, sorrows, and sadness of Thy Heart; by the shame Thou didst receive in being stripped of Thy garment, to hang naked on the Cross in the sight of Thy sorrowful Mother and in presence of all the people.

By Thy royal head crowned with thorns and smitten with a reed; by Thy thirst quenched with vinegar and gall; by Thy side opened with a spear, whence issued blood and water, to refresh our souls with that living fountain of Thy love and mercy; by the sharp nails wherewith Thy tender hands and feet were cruelly pierced and fastened to the Cross; by the recommendation of Thy departing Soul to the Heavenly Father, saying, Into Thy hands I commend my spirit; by Thy praying for Thine enemies, saying, O Father, forgive them, for they know what they do; by Thy giving up the ghost when Thou didst cry out with a loud voice, My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me? and then bowing down Thy most blessed head, to impart the kiss of peace saidst, It is consummated.

By the great mercy Thou didst show towards the penitent thief, saying, This day thou shalt be with Me in Paradise; by Thy descent into the Limbo of the just, and the joy Thou didst communicate to the souls therein detained; by the glory of Thy triumphant Resurrection, and the consoling apparition Thou frequently didst make for a space of forty days to Thy sacred Virgin Mother, to Thine Apostles, and Thine other chosen friends and servants: by Thine admirable Ascension, when, in the sight of Thy sacred Virgin Mother and Thy Apostles, Thou wast elevated into Heaven; by the miraculous coming down of the Holy Ghost in the form of fiery tongues, whereby Thou didst replenish the hearts of Thy disciples with Thy love, and didst give them strength and courage to plant Thy faith in the whole world; by the dreadful day of general judgment, on which Thou art to pass sentence on all mankind.

By all those sorrows, joys, passions, compassions, and whatsoever else is near and dear to Thee in Heaven and on earth, take pity on us, O compassionate Redeemer; hear our prayers, and grant us that for which now we most humbly and heartily petition Thee.

{mention or call to mind your lawful requests}

Grant us, O gracious Saviour, speedy and efficacious feelings of Thy Divine succor and comfort: Who, according to the accustomed sweetness of Thy tender Heart, art wont to grant the requests of those who really fear and love Thee, even to their own soul’s desire and satisfaction. Bestow on us also, O blessed Lord Jesus, a constant faith, a confident hope, a perfect charity, a cordial contrition, a sincere confession, a competent satisfaction, a diligent custody of myself from future failings, a heroic contempt of the world, a complete conquest of my passions, a zealous imitation of Thy exemplary life and conversation, an entire accomplishment of our vows and duties, an absolute mortification of self-will, a willing readiness to die for Thy love and honor, a final perseverance in grace and good works, a happy departure of our souls out of this world, with senses perfect about us, Thy holy Sacraments to strengthen us, Thyself, O dear Jesus, to comfort us, Thy sacred Virgin Mother, with the Saints, our particular patrons, to pray for us, and our good Angels to conduct us to eternal rest, eternal life, and eternal happiness. Amen.

Our Lady of Quito / Our Lady of SorrowsEver Glorious and Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of virgins, Mother of mercy, hope and comfort of dejected and desolate souls; through that sword of sorrow which pierced thy tender heart, whilst thine only Son, Christ Jesus, our Lord, suffered death and ignominy on the cross; through that filial tenderness and pure love He had for thee, grieving in thy grief, whilst from His cross He recommended thee to the care and protection of His beloved disciple, St. John — take pity, I beseech thee, on my poverty and necessities; have compassion on my anxieties and cares; assist and comfort me in all my infirmities and miseries.

Thou art the mother of mercies, the sweet Consolatrix and refuge of the needy and the orphan, of the desolate and the afflicted. Look, therefore, with pity on a miserable, forlorn child of Eve, and hear my prayer; for since, in just punishment of my sins, I am encompassed with evils, and oppressed with anguish of spirit. Whither can I fly for more secure shelter, O amiable mother of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, than to thy maternal protection?

Attend, therefore, I beseech thee, with pity and compassion, to my humble and earnest request.

I ask it through the infinite merits of thy dear Son; through that love and condescension wherewith He assumed our nature; when, in compliance with the Divine will, thou gavest thy consent; and whom, after the expiration of nine months, thou didst bring forth from the chaste enclosure of thy womb, to redeem the world and to bless it with His presence.

I ask it through that anguish of mind wherewith thy beloved Son, my dear Savior, was overwhelmed on Mount Olivet, when He besought the Eternal Father to remove from Him, if possible, the bitter chalice of His future passion.

I ask it through the threefold repetition of His prayer in the garden, from whence afterwards, with dolorous steps and mournful tears, thou didst accompany Him to the doleful theatre of his sufferings. I ask it through the stripes and wounds of His virginal flesh, occasioned by the cords and whips wherewith He was bound and scourged, when stripped of His seamless garment, for which His executioners afterwards cast lots.

I ask it through the scoffs and ignominies by which He was insulted; the false accusation and unjust sentence by which He was condemned to death, and which He bore with heavenly patience. I ask it through His bitter tears and bloody sweat: His silence and resignation; His sadness and grief of heart.

I ask it through the Blood which trickled from His royal and sacred Head, when struck with the sceptre of a reed and pierced with the crown of thorns.

I ask it through the excruciating torments He suffered when His hands and feet were fastened with large nails to the tree of the Cross.

I ask it through His vehement thirst and bitter drink of vinegar and gall.

I ask it through His dereliction on the cross, when He exclaimed “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

I ask it through His mercy extended to the good thief, and through His recommending His precious soul and spirit into the hands of the Eternal Father before He expired, saying, ” All is finished.”

I ask it through the blood mixed with water, which issued from His sacred side when pierced with a lance, and from whence a flood of grace and mercy hath flowed upon us.

I ask it through His immaculate life, bitter Passion, and ignominious death on the Cross, at which nature itself was thrown into convulsions by the bursting of rocks, the rending of the veil of the Temple, the earthquake, and darkness of the sun and moon.

I ask it through His descent into hell, where He comforted the Saints of the Old Law with His presence, and led captivity captive.

I ask it through His glorious victory over death, when He arose again into life on the third day; and through the joy which His appearance, for forty days after, gave thee, His blessed mother, His apostles, and the rest of His disciples; and when in thy presence and in theirs, He miraculously ascended into Heaven.

I ask it through the grace of the Holy Ghost, infused into the hearts of His disciples when he descended upon them in the form of fiery tongues, and by which they were inspired with zeal in the conversion of the world as they went forth to preach the Gospel.

I ask it through the awful appearance of thy Son at the last dreadful day, when He shall come to judge the living and the dead, and the world by fire.

I ask it through the compassion He bore thee in this life, and the ineffable joy thou didst feel at thine Assumption into Heaven, where thou art eternally absorbed in the sweet contemplation of His Divine perfections. O Glorious and Ever Blessed Virgin, comfort the heart of thy supplicant, and obtain for me:

[Here mention or reflect on your lawful request.]

And as I am persuaded my Divine Savior honors thee as His beloved Mother, to whom He can refuse nothing, let me speedily experience the efficacy of thy powerful intercession, according to the tenderness of thy maternal affection, and His filial, Sacred Heart, who mercifully grants the requests and complies with the desires of those who love and fear Him.

O Most Blessed Virgin, besides the object of my present petition, and whatever else I may stand in need of, obtain for me of thy Divine Son, our Lord and our God, a lively faith, firm hope, perfect charity, true contrition, hatred of sin, love of God and my neighbor, contempt of the world, and patience and resignation amidst the trials and afflictions of this life.

Obtain likewise for me, O Holy Mother of God, the gift of final perseverance, and grace to receive the last Sacraments of the Church worthily, at the hour of my death.

Lastly, obtain, I beseech thee, for the souls of my parents, brethren, relations, and benefactors, both living and dead, life everlasting. Amen.

Prayers in Honor of the Holy Face of Jesus

Prayer of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Honor of the Holy Face of Christ

Holy Face of Jesus, Prayers for the Conversion of SinnersO Jesus, Who in Thy bitter Passion didst become “the most abject of men, a man of sorrows,” I venerate Thy Sacred Face whereon there once did shine the beauty and sweetness of the Godhead; but now it has become for me as if it were the face of a leper! Nevertheless, under those disfigured features, I recognize Thy infinite Love and I am consumed with with the desire to love Thee and make Thee loved by all men. The tears which well abundantly in Thy sacred eyes appear to me as so many precious pearls that I love to gather up, in order to purchase the souls of poor sinners by means of their infinite value.

O Jesus, Whose adorable Face ravishes my heart, I implore Thee to fix deep within me Thy Divine Image and to set me on fire with Thy Love, that I may be found worthy to come to the contemplation of Thy glorious Face in Heaven. Amen.

A Prayer to the Holy Face for the Conversion of Sinners of St. Therese of Lisieux

Eternal Father, since Thou hast given me for my inheritance the Adorable Face of Thy Divine Son, I offer that face to Thee and I beg Thee, in exchange for this coin of infinite value, to forget the ingratitude of souls dedicated to Thee and to pardon all poor sinners.

A Prayer to be Saved from a Sudden and Unprovided Death

O most merciful Lord Jesus, by Thine agony and sweat of Blood, by Thy precious death, deliver us, we beseech Thee, from a sudden and unprovided death. O most kind Lord Jesus, by Thy most sharp and ignominious scourging and crowning with thorns, by Thy holy Cross and bitter Passion, by Thy loving-kindness, we humbly pray that Thou wouldst not suffer us to die unprovided with Thy holy Sacraments. O dearly beloved Lord Jesus, by all Thy labors and sorrows, by Thy Precious Blood and sacred Wounds, by those Thy last words on the Cross: “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?” and those others: “Father, into Thy hands I commend my spirit,” we most earnestly beseech Thee to deliver us from a sudden death. Grant us, we pray, room for repentance; grant us a happy passing in Thy grace, that so we may be able to love Thee, praise Thee and bless Thee forever. Amen.

Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory be.

An Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Sacred Heart of Jesus, animated with a desire to repair the outrages unceasingly offered to Thee, we prostrate before Thy throne of mercy, and in the name of all mankind, pledge our love and fidelity to Thee! The more Thy mysteries are blasphemed, the more firmly we shall believe them, O Sacred Heart of Jesus! The more impiety endeavors to extinguish our hopes of immortality, the more we shall trust in Thy Heart, sole hope of mankind! The more hearts resist Thy Divine attractions, the more we shall love Thee, O infinitely amiable heart of Jesus! The more unbelief attacks Thy Divinity, the more humbly and profoundly we shall adore It, O Divine Heart of Jesus! The more Thy holy laws are transgressed and ignored, the more we shall delight to observe them, O most holy Heart of Jesus! The more Thy Sacraments are despised and abandoned, the more frequently we shall receive them with love and reverence, O most liberal Heart of Jesus! The more the imitation of Thy virtues is neglected and forgotten, the more we shall endeavor to practice them, O Heart, model of every virtue! The more the devil labors to destroy souls, the more we shall be inflamed with desire to save them, O Heart of Jesus, zealous Lover of souls! The more sin and impurity destroy the image of God in man, the more we shall try by purity of life to be a living temple of the Holy Spirit, O Heart of Jesus! The more Thy Holy Church is despised, the more we shall endeavor to be her faithful children, O Sweet Heart of Jesus! The more Thy Vicar on earth is persecuted, the more we will honor him as the infallible head of Thy Holy Church, show our fidelity and pray for him, O kingly Heart of Jesus! O Sacred Heart, through Thy powerful grace, may we become Thy apostles in the midst of a corrupted world, and be Thy crown in the kingdom of heaven. Amen.

An Act of Consecration and Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

MOST Sacred Heart of Jesus! I adore Thee; I offer to Thee all that I am and all that I possess; I consecrate to Thee my soul with its faculties, my body with all its senses, my heart with all its affections; desiring in all things to honor, love, and glorify Thee; in thanksgiving for the numberless benefits that I have received from Thee, especially in the Holy Eucharist; in atonement for my own sins as well as in reparation for all the offenses that are committed against Thee in the Sacrament of Thy Love, and finally, in humble supplication, that I may henceforth be faithful to Thee, that I may please Thee in thought, word, and deed, that I may suffer in patience and in perfect resignation to Thy Holy Will, that I may become like to Thee in meekness and humility, that I may persevere in Thy love and in Thy grace to the end of my life, and that I may praise Thee and bless Thee with the Saints and Angels in eternity.

We beseech Thee, also good Jesus, by Thy Sacred Heart, overflowing with sweetness and mercy, to bless our Holy Father, the Pope, and our Holy Mother, the Church; to take under Thy special protection this parish, our homes, our country, our rulers, our legislators, our bishops, our priests, and all Religious Orders. We recommend to Thee all our concerns, our friends, relatives, benefactors, and all those who have asked us to pray for them; and those who are sick and those who are dying, and all who are under any affliction. Cast an eye of compassion on obstinate sinners and heretics and unbelievers.

Give eternal rest to the faithful departed.

Bless in particular the apostolic labors of those who are engaged in giving missions and retreats in propagating the faith in heathen lands, in spreading Thy kingdom on earth, and in fostering devotion to Thy most Sacred Heart and to the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Act of Reparation to the Precious Blood

Adorable Jesus, Lamb without spot, Who ceasest not to pour forth Thy Divine Blood in order to appease the justice of Thy Heavenly Father; innocent and thrice holy Victim, who hast paid for the guilty a ransom infinite in merit and in sacrifice, I come before Thee to render thanksgiving for Thy benefits to us, and to make some poor amends for the crimes committed upon earth. Lord, how small, alas, are the number of those who do Thee honor, and how numerous, on the contrary, are they who despise and trample under foot Thy Precious Blood! How many daily satiate Thee with the opprobrium of Calvary!

O Jesus, by the potent voice of Thy Divine Blood, and in the name of the infinite merits of Thy heart-rending Passion, I implore Thy mercy, not for myself alone, but for the many souls who, resisting the call of grace, refuse to seek, at the foot of the Cross, or under the shadow of the Tabernacle, pardon and life. Pity, gentle Jesus, pity all these; pity also those who dare to approach Thee all uncleansed, and to mingle Thine adorable Blood with the mire of their sins. Yes, pity, mercy, pardon! We implore these graces in the name of Thy Blood and Thine Eucharist!

Most holy Mary, bless me! Take my heart, hold it fast, and keep it in perpetual adoration before the altar; that there it may ever be, glorifying Jesus, and making reparation for the outrages offered to His Blood.

Most Precious Blood of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Prayers in Honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Immaculate Heart of Mary

V. O God, come unto my assistance;
R. O Lord, make haste to help me.

V. Glory be to the Father, etc.
R. As it was, etc.

1. Immaculate Virgin, who being conceived without sin, didst direct every movement of thy most pure heart toward God, and wast always submissive to His divine will; obtain for me the grace to hate sin with all my heart and to learn from thee to live in perfect resignation to the will of God. Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.

2. O Mary, I wonder at that profound humility, which troubled thy blessed heart at the message of the Angel Gabriel, that thou hadst been chosen to be the Mother of the Son of the most high God, the while thou didst profess thyself His lowly handmaiden; ashamed at the sight of my own pride, I beg of thee the grace of a contrite and humble heart, so that, acknowledging my misery, I may come to attain the glory promised to those who are truly humble of heart. Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.

3. Blessed Virgin, who didst keep in thy heart the precious treasure of the words of Jesus thy Son and, pondering over the sublime mysteries therein contained, couldst live only for God, how am I confounded by the coldness of my heart! Ah, dear Mother, obtain for me the grace of meditating always on the holy law of God, and of seeking to follow thine example in the fervent practice of all the Christian virtues. Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.

4. O glorious Queen of Martyrs, whose sacred heart, in the Passion of thy Son, was cruelly pierced by the sword foretold by the holy and aged Simeon; obtain for my heart true courage and holy patience to bear well the tribulations and trials of this wretched life; may I show myself to be thy true child by crucifying my flesh and all its desires in following the mortification of the Cross. Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.

5. O Mary, mystic rose, whose lovable heart, burning with the living fire of love, adopted us as thy children at the foot of the Cross, becoming thus our most tender Mother, make me experience the sweetness of thy motherly heart and the power of thine intercession with Jesus, in all the dangers that beset me during life, and especially at the dread hour of my death; in such wise may my heart be ever united to thine, and love Jesus both now and through endless ages. Amen. Our Father once and Hail Mary seven times.

O Lord Jesus Christ, shewing forth Thine omnipotence most manifestly when Thou spareth souls and hath compassion, O Thou who didst say, "Pray for those who persecute and calumniate you," we implore the clemency of Thy Sacred Heart on behalf of those souls made in the image and likeness of God, but most miserably deceived by the treacherous snares of Freemasonry and its errors, especially that of religious indifference and atheistic humanism, daily falling more and more into the way of perdition. Let the Church Thy Spouse no longer be oppressed by them, but appeased by the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Blessed Virgin and our Mother of Perpetual Help, and through the prayers of the Just, be mindful of Thine infinite mercy, and disregarding their perversity of mind, cause these very men to return to Thee, that they may bring consolation to the Church by a most abundant penance, make reparation for their misdeeds, and secure for themselves a glorious eternity. Who liveth and reigneth, world without end. Amen.
